Ilaf Elard is an Assistant Professor of Practice in Economics at NYU Shanghai. His research focuses on fintech and international macro-finance. Previously he was an Assistant Professor of Finance at Shanghai University of International Business and Economics. Prior to coming to China, he was a Visiting Assistant Professor of Economics at Brown University in the US and visiting researcher at the Bank of England in London. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Oxford.
